We consume ridiculous amounts of information daily. There is so much thrown at us day to day that we rarely know if what we are reading/watching is true. This can be especially difficult when researching health products.

Being stuck at home has increased cooking at home tenfold. Grocery sales have skyrocketed as the new trend becomes cooking daily quarantine feasts. This new normal can be seen as a good thing. Taking the time to cook with our families and friends and enjoy a meal at home is so special. Not to mention cooking at home can be monumentally healthier than takeout or going out to eat.
This time last week it felt as if I’d reached the edge of hope, patience, and positivity. This new normal was stressing me out to the extreme. I had the urge to back out of all commitments—both personal and professional. The unknown had become a reality, and it was freaking me out! I know I am not alone here. Especially for other hourly-wage workers, the panic of this situation has settled in pretty quickly.
I love seeing everyone staying busy during this time of isolation. Witnessing others getting creative with their day-to-day obligations is inspiring! It makes me believe that isolation can act as an undercover gift that we can take advantage of. What a crazy time we are living in! COVID-19 seems to be all that is being discussed right now. We are hearing it on the news, from our friends and family, and on the Internet. When it comes to maintaining your fitness goals, we all know that consistency is key. However, our lives can’t always be perfect. Sometimes we find our fitness goals getting interrupted by going on vacation, or traveling for work. Yes, it is encouraged to take days of rest and relaxation, but it is also very important to maintain a healthy balance when your days differ from the regular day-to-day
In the mood for something sweet? I know I always am. I’ve been trying to cut out my weaknesses lately (chocolate, pastries, sweets, etc.). Unfortunately, the cravings are so real! I know this is a theme for anyone who is trying to limit sugary treats. So I did some research. There are so many healthier options out there for people who still need sweet in their life that don't compromise health goals!
Everyone has certain expectations for themselves. No matter who we are, we have dreams, goals, and milestones we want to achieve within our lifetime. However, there is one big, real, and painful lesson I believe we learn many times throughout our life. That is, not everything will go our way.
As I sit on the sidelines and watch my youngest son Finley’s baseball practice, I notice a rather tense conversation unfold between my son and his coach. Finn has been having a tough time in the sport due to some incorrect fundamental habits, and his coach, doing what coaches do, is practicing tough love to help Finn try and break them.
