My community and I accomplished a huge task last week, and I thought it a perfect time to share. At the beginning of May, I initiated a 30-day push-up challenge. We all started with 5 push-ups and kept increasing the number until we reached 60 push-ups. It was a tough challenge, but with the help of the community (mostly virtual), we were able to conquer it! Check out this fun video compilation of the challenge: This challenge taught me that it is easier to accomplish tasks/goals when I have the support of others. Knowing that I had a team doing these push-ups with me helped push me, especially during times when I didn’t feel very motivated. I will try to apply this lesson to other parts of my life. At times, I fail to remember how special community really is. If we can lean on, listen to, respect, and motivate each other, we can accomplish things we usually wouldn’t think possible.
